Overview

I have been engaged in rare-earth metal composite oxides for about 15 years, and have an intimate knowledge of the doped semiconductor La1-xAxBO3 (A=Ca, Sr, Li; B=Cr, Mn, Fe) with perovskite structure, such as preparation methods for the powder, film and bulk, characterization technologies for the microstructure, electrical and magnetic performance. Also, I have abundant experience to design application devices and detecting equipments of these oxides, for example, electrical heating elements, thermal sensitive films, and several fixtures for measuring the high-temperature resistance of the film and bulk.


During the recent five years, I took part in several projects about conductive copper alloys with the copper manufacture factories. My task has been concentrated in the effects of alloying elements and forming process on the microstructure, mechanical performance and electrical property of Cu-Ag, Cu-Ni-Si, Cu-Cr-Zr alloys, which are used in the high-capacity generator and high-speed railway.

Research Interests

The preparation, microstructure, electrical properties, mechanical performance, strengthening mechanisms, and application devices of high performance copper alloys and copper-matrix composites with perovskite oxides.

The preparation, microstructure, magnetic, electrical properties and mechanism, and application devices of the doped perovskite (especially manganites) materials including the colossal magnetoresistance (CMR), low-field magnetoresistance (LFMR), ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition, metal-semiconductor transition, phase separation, double exchange effect, super exchange effect, Jahn-Teller effect, etc.
