Overview

Since 1994, Professor Bi has been engaged in the preparation, structure and properties of inorganic non-metallic materials. After years of exploration, he has accumulated rich experience. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of bio-ceramics, nanomaterials, new energy materials and other functional ceramics. He has successively undertaken the teaching of many undergraduate courses such as Composite Material Design and Preparation, Ceramic Technology, Test and Analysis Method, Advanced Ceramic Technology, and Application of Computer in Material science, as well as the teaching of doctoral and postgraduate courses such as Ceramic Matrix Composite Material and Functional Ceramics. Professor Bi has also published monographs such as “Boron Nitride Nanotubes and Their Ceramic Matrix Composite Materials”. He presided over and participated in many projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shandong Provincial Key Research and Development Program, and the Fundamental Research Funds of Shandong University. Through our his career, he published more than 50 papers included in SCI, applied for more than 30 patents, and successively won the third prize of scientific and technological progress of Shandong Province in 2001, the second prize of State Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education in 2006 and the second prize of Invention of Shandong Province in 2009.

Research Interests

Dr. Bi's research interests include preparation, performance and microstructure of inorganic nonmetal materials. In addition, he also focuses on the mechanism related to the performance.

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 51272132), Key Research and Development Program of Shandong Province (2016GGX102003, 2017GGX20105) and the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province (ZR2017BEM032).


Awards

The third prize of scientific and technological progress of Shandong Province in 2001, the second prize of State Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education in 2006 and the second prize of Invention of Shandong Province in 2009.
