Overview

Weibin Zhang is a Full Professor at the Key Laboratory for Liquid-Solid Structural Evolution and Processing of Materials at Shandong University in China. His research fields focus on the Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) and its application for the cemented carbides and batteries. He received his PhD degree in material science from Central South University in June 2015 (Supervisor: Prof. Baiyun Huang). During January to March 2016, he worked as a visit researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advance Materials Simulation (ICAMS), Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. From April 2016 to August 2018, he worked at the Institute for Applied Materials-Applied Materials Physics (IAM-AWP) in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as a scientific researcher. He is author or co-authors of more than 40 scientific papers in the peer reviewed journals, such as Chem. Mater., Scripta Mater., Ceram. Int., Int. J. Refract. Met. Hard Mater., CALPHAD, Int. J. Mater. Res. and so on.
