Overview

My main research has focused on the development and in deep study of invisible persistent luminescence materials and luminescent nanomaterials. I have a strong background in design, sintering, and optical measurements of ceramic phosphors. I have additional expertise in synthesis, characterization, and application of luminescent nanoparticles. I have published over 20 papers in the journals including: Light: Science & Applications, Physical Review Letters, Advanced Optical Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, Dalton Transactions, Materials & Design, etc.

Research Interests

(1)Long persistent phosphors with emission wavelengths in the near infrared (7002500 nm) and ultraviolet (<400 nm) for solar energy utilization, biomedical imaging, etc.

(2)Lanthanide doped nanoparticles for nanophotonics and biomedical applications.

(3)Synthesis and characterization of functional inorganic nanomaterials.

(4)Synthesis and sintering of transparent ceramic materials.
